What is JUVÉDERM Volbella® XC?

JUVÉDERM Volbella® XC adds subtle volume to lips and softens the appearance of vertical lip lines for up to 1 year. Volbella is Allergan’s newest injectable treatment for the lines around the lips and subtle lip augmentation.

Volbella is a modified hyaluronic acid filler with lidocaine and is part of the JUVÉDERM® family of fillers. As we age, natural substances such as collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid give skin structure and fullness start to decrease.

Some patients may wish to add subtle volume to their lips; others may want to soften the appearance of the vertical lines above them. Lines such as these are often caused by factors such as sun exposure, repeated muscle movement, and the aging process.

The Procedure

JUVÉDERM Volbella® XC is injected by Dr. Rudderman’s Certified Master Injector, Mallory, under the skin using a fine needle.

JUVÉDERM® XC, Volbella®, and Voluma® all contain an anesthetic, called lidocaine, to help reduce discomfort during your treatment.

Juvéderm™ Ultra and Ultra Plus is a “next generation” hyaluronic acid – smooth gel dermal filler. It is different from others on the market because it is a “smooth gel” that flows consistently into the skin, causing wrinkles and folds to easily “smooth away” with the restored volume to the skin.
